Brief Introduction
Academics:
•Male, born in Shanxi in March 1973.
•He graduated from Northwest University with a bachelor's degree in economic geography and urban and rural planning in 1996, and entered the Department of Urban and Resource Sciences of Nanjing University in the same year to pursue a master's degree in human geography.
•He studied for his Ph.D. in advance in 1998 and received his Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning in Human Geography in July 2001.

Research and Projects
•His research interests include: urban geography and regional planning, urban and regional economy, information city and livable city.
•He has published more than 100 articles in English and Chinese core journals, including two SSCI articles and one SCIE article.
•He has published and co-edited four books, including Regional Spatial Structure in the Information Age and Agglomeration and Diffusion: A New Theory of Urban Spatial Structure.
•He is currently presiding over the National Natural Science Foundation of China "Research on the Spatial Change of Urban Employment and Residence in China in the Information Age" (No. 40971094); He presided over the completion of the National Natural Science Foundation of China "Regional Urban Network Formation Process and Mechanism under the Influence of Informatization: Taking the Yangtze River Delta as an Example" (No. 40301014), and participated in the research of "Research on the Pattern, Process and Mechanism of Urbanization in China" of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of China "Urban Cultural Space Research Based on New Cultural Geography: Taking Nanjing as an Example" as an important member.
•In 2005, he was responsible for the preparation of the industrial planning and population urbanization aspects of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Plan (Jiangsu part), and participated in the preparation and finalization of the related contents of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Plan.
